Pharmacological effect Hexicon
Drug Hexicone® is a topical antiseptic agent that is active against various types of bacteria, viruses including treponema pallidum, chlamidia spp., ureaplasma spp., neisseria gonorrhoeae, trichomonas vaginalis, gardnerella vaginalis, bacteroides fragilis, herpes-virus. Some strains of pseudomonas spp., proteus spp. have low drug sensitivity, as well as resistant acid-fast bacteria, bacterial spores, and fungi. Hexicone® does not affect the functional activity of lactobacilli. Its activity is maintained (albeit somewhat diminished) in the presence of blood and pus.
Pharmacokinetics Hexicon
When used vaginally, almost no absorption, does not have a systemic effect.

Prevention of sexually transmitted infections (chlamydia, ureaplasmosis, trichomoniasis, gonorrhea, syphilis, genital herpes, etc.). Preventing infectious and inflammatory complications in obstetrics and gynecology (before surgery for gynecological diseases, before delivery and abortion, before and after intrauterine device (IUD) insertion, before and after cervical diathermocoagulation, before intrauterine examinations). Treatment of bacterial vaginosis and vaginitis (including nonspecific, mixed, trichomonal)
Method of application and dose Hexicon
Intravaginal. The product is released from contour packaging prior to use. For treatment: 1 suppository twice a day, for 7-10 days. For prevention of sexually transmitted infections: 1 suppository within 2 hours of unprotected intercourse.
