Description
Vaginal tablets are light yellow, with possible interspersed darker or lighter shades, flat, oblong in shape, beveled at the edges and printed with the letter "T" on both sides.

Composition Tergynan
1 tablet contains: Active ingredient: ternidazole 200 mg, neomycin sulfate 100 mg (65,000 IU), nystatin 100,000 IU, prednisone sodium metasulphobenzoate 4.7 mg, corresponding to prednisone content of 3 mg. Auxiliary substances: wheat starch - 264 mg, lactose monohydrate - q.s. to 1.2 g, silicon colloidal - 6 mg, magnesium stearate - 10 mg sodium carboxymethyl starch - 48 mg.

Pharmacological effect Tergynan

the combined preparation for topical application in gynecology has antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, antiprotozoal, antifungal effects; ensures the integrity of the vaginal mucosa and stability of pH.
Ternidazole, an antifungal agent in the imidazole derivatives group, decreases ergosterol synthesis, alters the structure and properties of the cell membrane, has a trichomonacidal effect, and is active against anaerobic bacteria.
Neomycin, a broad-spectrum aminoglycoside antibiotic, is bactericidal against gram-positive and gram-negative organisms.
Nystatin, an antifungal polyene antibiotic, is highly effective against Candida yeast.
Prednisone, a dehydrated analog of hydrocortisone, has anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, anti-exudative effects.

Method of application and dose

For vaginal administration, one tablet is inserted deep into the vagina while lying down at bedtime. Before administering the tablet should be kept in water for 20-30 seconds. After administration, lie for 10-15 minutes. The average duration of treatment is 10 days; in the case of confirmed mycosis, the duration of treatment can be increased to 20 days; the average duration of preventive treatment is 6 days.
