Mechanism of Action

The drug Leatrisa® contains tibolone, an active substance that serves as a means for correcting estrogen deficiency (hormone replacement therapy, HRT) in women after menopause.

Indications Leatrisa

The drug Leatrisa® is intended for use in girls and adult women with the purpose of:
- Treatment of the symptoms of estrogen deficiency, including hot flashes, mood changes, dryness and discomfort in the vagina and other manifestations in women after menopausal period. If you are in the period of natural (age-related) menopause, the application of Leatrisa® may not start until 1 year after the last menstrual period. If menopausal syndrome results from surgical removal of the ovaries, the drug can be started immediately.
- prevention of postmenopausal osteoporosis. Some women can develop osteoporosis (decreased bone density) after menopause. Invite your doctor to discuss the appropriate preventive measures with you. A doctor may give you a drug called Leatrisa® if you are at increased risk of fractures resulting from osteoporosis and other drugs are not suitable to prevent and treat this condition. If you do not notice any improvement or you feel unwell, contact your doctor immediately.
