Pharmacological effect

The active ingredient of the drug Triazavirin is a synthetic analog of guanine, the main component of purine nucleosides, and has a pronounced antiviral effect. Its antiviral activity is widely covered by viruses containing RNA with phosphokinase (PHk). Triazavirin's primary mechanism of action is inhibition of viral RNA synthesis and replication of genome fragments.

Pharmacokinetics riamilovir

When taken by mouth, the drug is quickly absorbed by the gastrointestinal tract. The maximum concentration (Cmax) in the blood is reached in 1-1.5 hours. The average Cmax at the recommended dose is about 4.8 mcg/mL. The area under the pharmacokinetic concentration-time (AUC) curve in blood is 12.8 mcg/h×mL. Half-life (T1/2) takes one to 1.5 hours. About 15 to 45% of the drug is excreted unchanged via the kidneys. Estimated drug clearance is an average of 246 mL/min.
